The 49th State’s Anchorage brewpub release two beers Thursday, Nov. 1st.

Moose Joose is our featured beer for No Shave November, served in a special .33L ‘beard’ glasses. This Juicy IPA comes in at 7% and 25 IBUs. It has loads of unmalted oats and a triple dose of dry hops to throw some serious haze and bold citrusy, tropical fruit flavors into this juicy IPA. Low on bitterness, but huge hop aroma and flavor, this beer is an open invitation to beer nerds and the hop averse alike. All month long Moose Joose and No Shave November merchandise will contribute to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
Our winter seasonal, Cabin Fever (Imperial Cookie Brown Ale) is back for it’s second season. This beer is inspired by the traditional Speculoos cookie and you’ll feel nice and cozy after a glass of this 8.2% Imperial. This brew is a herald of the holidays with its notes of graham cracker, maple syrup, caramel, and toffee intertwined with bourbon soaked vanilla, cinnamon, and a touch of nutmeg.
Just around the corner we will be releasing our newest kettle sour from our brosé line. Pucker Pie was soured in our kettle for 24 hours with a pure lacto-bacillus culture to bring a rhubarb pie-like tartness. The beer was then fermented with a traditional German brewer’s yeast before being aged on fresh red plums and pluots for a packed blend of fruity and tart flavors.
